Add to calendarFarmers’ Market morning
Producers on the Square, shoppers on the High Street, and a monthly habit that has lasted since 2006.
Food
Bread, cakes, cheese, preserves, fish, meat, coffee.
Place
A proper village-square setting, steps from buses and shops.
What it is
KHBA set the event up in May 2006 to bring producers into the centre of Kings Heath and give Saturday shoppers a reliable monthly reason to visit. Today it sits on Kings Heath Village Square, an award-winning public space that feels like a small green in the middle of a busy Birmingham suburb.
A separate committee organises the market. On a good market morning, the Square works as both shopfront and meeting point: a place to buy direct from stallholders, catch live local energy, then carry that footfall into the surrounding independents.
What you'll find
Seasonal fruit and vegetables, quality fish and meat, eggs, herbs, coffee, tea, sauces, preserves, and pantry staples.
Bread, cakes, pies, chocolate, fudge, deli food, cheeses, handmade treats, soaps, plants, and small-batch goods.
The Square gives shoppers a reason to linger, then spill back into the surrounding independents on the High Street.
Farmers’ Market traders
From growers and bakers to makers, pantry specialists and seasonal stallholders, the market is a monthly showcase for small traders who bring real craft to Kings Heath.
